Scholarly Commons

What is Scholarly Commons?

ScholarlyCommons@AUT provides a platform for the collection, organisation, access, annotation and preservation of the University's research outputs in digital formats.

What we're trying to do is collect together, in one place, the research produced by members of AUT University and make it accessible via the Internet to a world wide audience. This is an example of what is known as an " Institutional Repository".
From the Scholarly Commons website FAQs...

Just been exploring this web site. Very with it. Well worth a look. Great sample books, documents, resumes, articles etc. You can upload your own or download from the vast archive in word, adobe reader etc.
50 million plus readers.

"Scribd is the place where you publish, discover and discuss original writings and documents.... sharing ebooks, creative writing, research papers and even sheet music and recipes on Scribd.com..."

I have summited a short paper to trial the upload. After a month it has had 11 reads!  I have not shared the information to my networks which would be easy to do.... I really recommend this software because of the clarity, ease of upload and the potential to share within facebook and twitter. Those who know me can search for the paper if they wish.

warm regards,
